How to Write an Article

If you are are not an OSURC Officer make sure to let an Officer know that you have submitted a suggested article so that we can make sure it gets published.

The Title

Make sure the title is written in a formal and professional manner that projects a competent understanding of what the article is covering.

This sections is for Officers only. You can request that an Officer puts a password on an article if you do not want the article to be displayed publicly.

Acceptable reasons for needing a password on an article:

  • The article contains sensitive information related to OSURC activities.
    • Examples include:
      • Configurations that can be publicly seen as a vulnerability.
      • Passwords for legacy configurations either for one of the Robots or the club’s system.
      • Personal software/designs that you intend to copyright or patten resulting in a need for a non public publication.

The Body

Every Article body should contain a title and a description on how to configure or use software, hardware, or machinery.

Key words should be one of the following:

  • ALL
  • Officers
    • Officer Title
  • Underwater
  • Ariel
  • Drone Racing
  • HAM
  • 3D Printers

*Hopefully soon we will have an official format for article to follow but for now anything helps.
